On July 15, 2022, a new fine for motorists came into force in Russia. Now unloading or dumping waste from vehicles and trailers to them outside the established places will be punished by an administrative fine . Citizens, officials, and companies can be held accountable. At the same time, the size of the fine depends on the type of vehicle, Victoria Shcherbakova, a lawyer for expert opinions of the European Legal Service, told the Prime agency.
So, now the dumping of garbage from a car will cost an individual violator an impressive amount of 10 to 15 thousand rubles, an official – from 20 to 30 thousand rubles, and a legal entity – from 30 to 50 thousand rubles.
In the case of a repeated offense, the fine for citizens will be 20-30 thousand rubles. For officials and legal entities, the punishment will be more severe. An official may be fined in the amount of 40 to 60 thousand rubles, and a legal entity in the amount of 60-100 thousand rubles. And all this with the confiscation of the vehicle, which has become an instrument of an administrative offense.
