Thus, at the official rate of the Central Bank , the dollar fell against the ruble by 1 ruble 3 kopecks, and the euro fell against the ruble by 32 kopecks compared to the official rate on Thursday. The volume of trading on the Moscow Exchange by 16:27 Moscow time on Thursday amounted to 925.8774 billion rubles or 15,840.9103 million dollars. The ruble continues to rise today amid demand for the conversion of dollar deposits into rubles and flight from Western jurisdictions to Russia ahead of tougher Western sanctions in response to referendums.
